xTool P3 80W Flagship CO2 Laser Cutter: Industrial Power With Place-and-Go Automation
The P3 is xTool's flagship CO2 laser: an 80W tube on a 36" x 18" bed, running at up to 1,200 mm/s, built for shops that have outgrown a desktop diode or a smaller CO2. It cuts 20mm basswood and 25mm acrylic in a single pass, and handles the clear and colored acrylic work diode lasers simply cannot do.
What sets it apart is the Automated Creation System (ACS). Close the lid and the 16MP SkyView camera previews the whole bed, LiDAR autofocus sets the focal point, and the motorized AutoLift Base raises the work to match, with up to 8.66" of processing height built in. Add the optional 5W IR module and the same machine engraves metal and plastic directly.

How is the P3 different from the P2S?
Power (80W vs 55W), size (a 36" x 18" bed, 2.3x larger), speed (1,200 mm/s vs 600 mm/s), a built-in motorized AutoLift Base with 220mm of vertical space, a built-in inverter water chiller, Class 1 safety with CO2 fire suppression, and an optional 5W IR module for direct metal and plastic engraving.
Does the P3 come with a CO2 cylinder for fire suppression?
No. Per xTool, the P3 supports active CO2 fire suppression when a compatible 0.6L CO2 cylinder is installed, and the cylinder is purchased separately.
Can the P3 engrave metal?
With the optional 5W IR Laser Module, yes: the module adds direct engraving on metals and plastics to the CO2 laser's cutting range. It is sold separately unless included in your bundle.
What software does the P3 use?
xTool Studio (PC version). Per xTool, LightBurn and the mobile/iPad versions of XCS are not supported on the P3.
