The FLUX Beambox II 55W Desktop CO2 Laser Cutter is the second-generation flagship of the Beambox series, built around a 55W catalyzed premium CO2 laser that cuts acrylic up to 0.79" (20 mm) and cypress up to 0.71" (18 mm) thick, with deeper cuts possible by reducing speed or running multiple passes. It precisely cuts wood, acrylic, leather, and cardboard, and engraves a wide range of materials including stone, anodized metal, glass, and rubber.
With a maximum engraving speed of 35.43 in/s (900 mm/s), 317 in/s (8,000 mm/s²) acceleration, and 1000 DPI resolution, the Beambox II delivers both production speed and fine detail across a 24.80" x 17.13" work area. Material clearance adapts to the job: 2.36" (6 cm) with the included honeycomb platform installed, 4.92" (12.5 cm) with the platform removed, and 8.46" (21.5 cm) with the optional Extension Pocket add-on.
Alignment and focusing on the Beambox II are handled by an upgraded workflow that combines a built-in HD camera preview, red light preview projection, and one-touch auto focus — press and hold the AF button on the 5" touchscreen for 2–3 seconds and the machine sets focus automatically. The camera preview area fully covers the working area, so designs can be placed directly on the material with confidence whether the workpiece is a flat sheet, a curved object, or long stock. A built-in air pump prevents scorch marks during cutting while the integrated exhaust fan clears fumes from the enclosure, and the machine's full metal enclosure includes a lid-open safety stop and a side-mounted emergency stop button. The Beambox II is certified by CE, FCC, FDA, and SGS, and complies with IEC 60825-1 as an FDA Class 1 laser product./p>
The Beambox II runs on FLUX's free Beam Studio software — available for Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, and web access on iOS, iPadOS, and Android — and is also compatible with LightBurn. Beam Studio supports SVG, JPG, PNG, PDF, DXF, AI, and WEBP files and works alongside design tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Affinity Designer, AutoCAD, and SketchUp. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet via USB dongle. For makers, small businesses, and design professionals stepping up in power and speed, the FLUX Beambox II combines cutting capacity, precision alignment, and built-in safety in a true desktop CO2 platform.
The Beambox II precisely cuts wood, acrylic, leather, and cardboard, with a maximum cutting thickness of 0.79" (20 mm) depending on material. It engraves a wide range of materials including stone, anodized metal, glass, and rubber. As a CO2 laser, it cannot cut metal, but it can engrave anodized or painted metal.
Yes. By reducing the cutting speed in the software or performing multiple passes, deeper cuts can be achieved.
The Beambox II offers camera preview and red light preview alignment through Beam Studio, plus built-in auto focus. Pressing and holding the AF button on the 5" touchscreen for 2–3 seconds completes the focusing process automatically. The camera preview area fully covers the working area.
With the included honeycomb platform installed, maximum material thickness is 2.36" (6 cm). With the platform removed, it increases to 4.92" (12.5 cm). Adding the Extension Pocket add-on extends clearance to 8.46" (21.5 cm).
Yes. A built-in air pump prevents materials from burning or leaving scorch marks, while a powerful exhaust fan removes cutting fumes from the machine.
The Beambox II is certified by CE, FCC, FDA, and SGS, and complies with IEC 60825-1 as an FDA Class 1 laser product. Its fully enclosed metal design includes a lid-open safety stop mechanism and an emergency stop button on the side of the machine that immediately halts operation.
The Beambox II runs on Beam Studio, FLUX's free software available for Windows 10+, macOS 11+, Linux 20+, and ChromeOS, with web access on iOS, iPadOS, and Android. It is also compatible with LightBurn. Beam Studio supports SVG, JPG, PNG, PDF, DXF, AI, and WEBP files and works with design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Affinity Designer, Autodesk AutoCAD, and SketchUp.
The Beambox II connects via Wi-Fi or Ethernet, with USB connectivity also available.
FLUX recommends installing the Beambox II in a well-ventilated area with a window, using the included vent hose to direct combustion fumes outside. An air filter can also be used to maintain indoor air quality.
Like all CO2 laser machines, the Beambox II requires regular maintenance: cleaning the mirrors and focus lens roughly once a week depending on usage, periodically lubricating the linear rails, and refilling the cooling tank with distilled water if the level drops after long-term use.
The original Beambox has a 40W laser cutting up to 0.47" (12 mm), and the Beambox Pro has a 50W laser cutting up to 0.55" (14 mm). The Beambox II is the latest model in the series, with a 55W laser cutting up to 0.79" (20 mm) plus additional hardware and software upgrades.
