FLUX Ador — The World's First Color Printing Laser Cutter

The FLUX Ador is the world's first color printing laser cutter, a 3-in-1 desktop machine that combines laser cutting, engraving, and full-color printing through a system of interchangeable modules. At its core is a diode laser module available in 10W or 20W configurations: the 10W delivers a finer 0.06 x 0.08 mm laser spot for maximum engraving detail, while the 20W steps up cutting power for thicker materials with a 0.07 x 0.11 mm spot.

Both options reach engraving speeds up to 15.7 in/s (400 mm/s) and are rated for a 10,000-hour lifespan, with built-in cooling fans that eliminate the need for the bulky water cooling systems required by CO2 lasers. An optional 2W infrared laser add-on extends the Ador's reach to metals like gold, silver, copper, titanium, aluminum, and anodized surfaces, while the optional printing module uses CMYK eco-solvent ink to lay vibrant color, blends, and gradients directly onto wood, fabric, and canvas.

Everyday usability is where the Ador stands apart. A spacious 16.93" x 11.81" (430 x 300 mm) working area handles materials up to 1.18" (30 mm) thick, and the integrated 8MP HD camera previews the entire bed for what-you-see-is-what-you-get design placement — one button press triggers autofocus for consistently sharp results. Output resolution reaches 1000 DPI, and the built-in air assist keeps wood and other materials free of burn marks. The smart touch dashboard manages files, monitors progress in real time, and allows on-the-fly adjustments, while connectivity spans Wi-Fi, USB, and flash drive. Design workflows are flexible, too: the Ador runs on FLUX's free Beam Studio software and is fully compatible with LightBurn.

Safety and versatility make the FLUX Ador a strong fit for small businesses, classrooms, makerspaces, and home creators alike. The fully enclosed design with laser-safe viewing window, side-mounted emergency stop, automatic pause function, and IEC 60825-1 / FDA Class 1 laser safety compliance keep operation worry-free in shared spaces. From engraving leather and cutting wood to metal marking and full-color customization on everyday items, the FLUX Ador consolidates three machines' worth of capability into one compact, modular creative station.

FLUX Ador Features

  • 3-in-1 Creative Station: Swap between laser cutting, engraving, and full-color printing in one compact desktop machine — interchangeable modules install directly on the axis with no optical alignment required.
  • 10W or 20W Diode Laser Options: Choose the 10W module for finer engraving detail with its smaller laser spot, or step up to the 20W for stronger cutting power through thicker materials — both engrave at speeds up to 15.75 in/s (400 mm/s).
  • Full-Color CMYK Printing: The optional printing module uses CMYK eco-solvent ink to lay vibrant single colors, blends, and gradients directly onto wood, fabric, canvas, and more — turning engraved pieces into finished, sellable products.
  • Metal Engraving Capability: The optional 2W infrared laser module (1064 nm) marks gold, silver, copper, titanium, aluminum, and anodized metals, opening up jewelry, tools, and personalized gifts.
  • What You See Is What You Get: The built-in 8MP HD camera previews the entire work area so designs land exactly where intended, and one-press autofocus keeps every job sharp without manual dialing.
  • Spacious, Flexible Work Area: Up to 16.93" x 11.81" (430 x 300 mm) of bed space handles materials up to 1.18" (30 mm) deep, with room for batch runs and larger single-piece projects.
  • Clean Results with Air Assist: Integrated air assist minimizes charring and burn marks on wood and other materials, so pieces come off the bed ready to finish.
  • Works with Your Design Software: Design in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, CorelDRAW, SolidWorks, and more, then import via JPG, PNG, SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, or WEBP — runs on free Beam Studio software and is fully LightBurn compatible.
  • Connect and Control Your Way: Wi-Fi, USB, and Ethernet connectivity pair with a 5" smart touch panel for file navigation, real-time progress monitoring, and on-the-fly adjustments across Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iOS, and Android.
  • Safe for Shared Spaces: The fully enclosed design with laser-safe viewing window, side-mounted emergency stop, and automatic pause function carries IEC 60825-1 / FDA Class 1 laser safety compliance — suitable for classrooms, studios, and home workshops.

FLUX Ador — Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the 10W and 20W diode laser?

The main difference is cutting power. The 20W diode laser cuts through thicker materials more easily, while the 10W has a slightly smaller laser spot (0.06 x 0.08 mm vs. 0.07 x 0.11 mm) for finer engraving detail. Both engrave at speeds up to 15.75 in/s (400 mm/s) and are rated for a 10,000-hour lifespan. The 20W module has a slightly shallower work area of 16.93" x 11.42" (430 x 290 mm) compared to the 10W's 16.93" x 11.81" (430 x 300 mm).

How does the color printing work?

The optional printing module uses CMYK eco-solvent ink cartridges (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) to print single colors, blended colors, and gradients directly onto materials like wood, fabric, and canvas. Printing resolution is 300 DPI for single color and 150 DPI for blended color, across a 16.93" x 10.63" (430 x 270 mm) print area.

Can the FLUX Ador engrave metal?

Yes, with the optional 2W Infrared Laser Add-on (1064 nm wavelength). It engraves metals including gold, silver, copper, titanium, aluminum, iron, and anodized metals — ideal for jewelry, tools, and personalized metal gifts. Like the diode module, it installs directly on the axis with no optical alignment and uses a built-in cooling fan.

What materials can the FLUX Ador cut and engrave?

The diode laser cuts and engraves wood, leather, fabric, and other organic materials up to 1.18" (30 mm) deep in the work area. One important note: due to the diode laser's wavelength, the Ador can only engrave or cut black acrylic — light-colored or transparent acrylic is not compatible. For transparent acrylic work, a CO2 laser machine is the better fit.

What software and file types does the Ador support?

The Ador runs on FLUX's free Beam Studio software and is fully compatible with LightBurn. You can design in professional tools like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Affinity Designer, AutoCAD, SketchUp, SOLIDWORKS, CorelDRAW, and Rhinoceros, then import files in JPG, PNG, SVG, DXF, AI, PDF, or WEBP format. It works across Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iOS, and Android.

Does the Ador require water cooling or ventilation?

No water cooling is needed. Both the diode laser module and the 2W Infrared Laser Add-on have built-in cooling fans, unlike CO2 lasers that require bulky external water cooling systems. The Ador does include a vent hose for exhaust, and it operates best with the laser module at 41–86°F (5–30°C) and the printing module at 60.8–77°F (16–25°C).
