The MetalFab 1200W puts industrial fiber-laser metalwork on a benchtop budget: welding, CNC cutting, rust and paint cleaning, and engraving in one system. It welds stainless and carbon steel up to 5mm thick with strong, clean beads and minimal distortion, and the CNC cutter produces smooth, burr-free cuts in up to 5mm stainless steel, 4mm aluminum, 3mm brass and 10mm carbon steel.

How thick can it weld?
Up to 5mm stainless steel and carbon steel, 4mm aluminum (5052) and 3mm brass, with laser-specific strengths: butt welds on stainless hold up to 320MPa tensile strength per xTool's testing.
Do I need the CNC cutter as well?
If you only weld, clean and engrave, the welder alone is the machine. The cutter adds enclosed, burr-free sheet cutting up to 5mm stainless on a 24" x 24" bed.
What software does it use?
xTool Studio (PC version) handles design and job control; the welder can also run freehand with its touchscreen and built-in parameters.
