Its 12 x 12 inch workspace gives you 20 mm of vertical clearance, so sturdy projects that will not fit through a roll-fed cutter, foil-stamped notebooks, engraved acrylic, sketch work, sit flat and cut with total stability.
Instead of rollers or a sticky mat, the included Electrostatic Bed holds material in place with static. Thin sheets stay flat, do not curl, and lift off without tearing, which makes delicate paper work and easy weeding where the Curio 2 really pulls away from other machines in its class.

The Curio 2 is a flatbed: material sits still on a 12 x 12 inch bed with 20 mm of clearance, instead of feeding through rollers. That makes it better for thick, rigid or delicate projects, while a Cameo is better for long rolls of vinyl.
Do I need a cutting mat?
No sticky mat is required for most work. The included Electrostatic Bed holds material with static, and the included protection sheet goes under your material. Swap from the Electrostatic Bed to the Debris Tray when engraving with the Power Engraver, so debris stays contained.
Which power tools can it run?
The Heat Pen for foil stamping, the Power Engraver, the Leather Punch Tool and the Embossing Tool Set are made for the Curio 2's powered carriage. They are sold separately.
What software does it use?
Silhouette Studio, a free download. It includes 100 exclusive designs and a 1-month Design Store subscription when you register the machine.
