The OneLaser Hydra 16 Gen2 is the flagship of the Gen2 platform, a full-scale production system pairing an enormous 62.99" x 39.37" work area with a dual-laser configuration that combines a 150W CO2 glass tube and a 38W RF metal-sealed source, with a single 70W RF configuration also available. The division of labor is exactly what high-output shops need: the 150W glass tube drives deep, fast cuts through thick acrylic, hardwood, and full production sheets, while the RF source's tight beam spot delivers crystal-sharp detail, consistent depth, and true 3D photorealistic engraving at up to 2,000 DPI. Add a true 2,000 mm/s engraving speed, industrial-grade 4G acceleration, and a class-leading 10,000 mm/s travel speed, and the Hydra 16 Gen2 covers its five-foot bed at a pace that turns big jobs into short ones.
Everything underneath is engineered for years of daily industrial duty. An ultra-high-speed servo motor with advanced PID closed-loop feedback eliminates the missed steps that distort patterns on stepper-driven machines, while the built-in X-axis linear rail and NVH-optimized construction hold ≤0.01 mm repeat positioning accuracy across the full 63-inch span at maximum speed. The RF source runs on maintenance-free air cooling with a 20,000–30,000 hour lifespan, and the optional Q-Switch fiber upgrade (30W/50W, MOPA 60W option) extends the platform into metal engraving. Smart Dual Air-Assist, automatic autofocus, the offline-capable GT5 industrial control system, front-to-back pass-through, and real-time temperature monitoring with lens protection stand guard through long shifts.
The dual-laser configuration pairs the most powerful glass tube in the Gen2 series with a 38W RF source for crystal-sharp fine work: maximum throughput and maximum quality from a single machine. A single 70W RF configuration is also available.
Consistent detail at speeds where other machines slow down, and with a class-leading 10,000 mm/s travel speed, the head crosses this enormous bed between cuts almost instantly.
The production-grade servo motor with PID closed-loop feedback eliminates the missed steps that cause distortion and incomplete details on stepper machines, every pattern comes out complete, every time.
The high-frequency, tight beam spot delivers consistent depth and true 3D photorealistic results at up to 2,000 DPI, with cut edges visibly sharper and cleaner than standard CO2 alone.
Add the optional Q-Switch fiber upgrade (30W/50W, with a MOPA 60W option) for high-speed flying metal engraving and large-format 2.5D metalwork: one machine, three laser technologies.
Smart Dual Air-Assist automatically switches between gentle engraving airflow and powerful cutting airflow, automatic Z-axis autofocus and red-dot positioning remove setup guesswork, any 4-pin rotary drops right in, the 1.5"–4" lens range swaps in seconds as full assemblies, and real-time temperature monitoring with alarms, auto shutoff, and lens protection stands guard through long production runs.

The Hydra 16 Gen2 comes in two laser configurations on the same flagship Gen2 cabinet, work area, servo drive, and control system. The Hybrid pairs both laser technologies in one machine; the Pro is a single, larger RF source for shops that want all-RF operation and air-cooled simplicity.
