AtomStack Hurricane 55W CO2 Laser Cutter: Desktop CO2 Power for Acrylic, Wood and Glass
The Hurricane puts a 55W CO2 laser (10.6µm wavelength) in a rigid, enclosed desktop machine. CO2 does the things a diode cannot: it cuts transparent acrylic, rated at 20mm in one pass, plus 15mm plywood, and it engraves glass, stone and coated metals alongside the usual wood, leather and acrylic work.
The 19.69" x 11.81" engraving area expands to 31.5" x 19.6" with the optional conveyor feeder. A 5MP camera handles visual positioning, autofocus sets the height, built-in air assist and water cooling keep long runs clean and consistent, and the enclosed design with interlocks and an emergency stop keeps the beam contained.
