What materials and thicknesses can it weld?
Carbon steel, stainless, alloy steel, copper, cast iron, and aluminum, from 1/32 inch up to 3/8 inch.
Can it weld aluminum?
Yes. It has a dedicated spool gun process for aluminum, and the box includes a Teflon aluminum liner. The spool gun itself is sold separately; Crafting Source carries the Arccaptain 5-Pin Spool Gun made for this machine.
Do I need 240V to run it?
No. It runs on 120V household power at reduced output (up to 140A MIG), or on 240V for the full 205A. A 240V-to-120V adapter is included in the box.
How does SYN control help a beginner?
Instead of dialing in wire speed and current by trial and error, you select your wire and material and the machine sets both automatically, so a good weld is three steps away.
