The variable-shade lens runs DIN 4 in the light state and adjusts across DIN 5 to 9 and 9 to 13 in the dark state, so you can dial in the right darkness for any process, from delicate TIG to high-amperage stick. It provides full UV and IR protection up to DIN 16 at all times, even before the lens darkens.
